How to Achieve Glass Skin Glow: 5 Honest Tips After 10 Years of Hormonal Acne, Redness & Sensitivity for everyone who feels stuck with their skin. No matter how many viral products, popular products, or number one skincare products you have tried and you are seeing zero progress, this video is for you.
After 10 years of dealing with hormonal acne, redness, contact dermatitis, sensitivity, and oiliness, I am here to tell you all of my tips on how to actually achieve that glass skin glow that you have all dreamed of.
1. Stop Touching Your Skin
Number one rule: stop bloody touching your skin and face. Stop touching, stop rubbing, stop molesting, stop harassing it. Just leave it alone for heaven’s sake.
Any touch that you impose on it, any cotton pads that you swipe on, it can potentially lead to inflammation. If your skin barrier is healthy, it is okay. You can use any cotton pads you want. But we are here because your skin barrier is compromised. Your skin is not looking healthy. So it is so so so important that you minimize the friction that you impose onto your skin.
This is the number one rule that I probably live by. As someone with contact dermatitis, the actual touch to my skin can irritate it way more. And this rule is not just for people who have contact dermatitis. If you are trying to achieve healthy skin, just let your skin be.
There is a reason why all of these bubble products are becoming popular in Korea. The bubbles act as a buffer. So it minimizes the pressure, the touch, the heat that comes from your hands. Likewise, stay away from towels. Stay away from tissues. Just let your skin be.
2. Be Smarter – Use Devices
Rule number two: be smarter. Do your research and actually take advantage of all the products that are out here in the market. And yes, I am indeed talking about devices.
Devices are pricey, but if you feel like you are doing a really good job with your skincare and you have invested in really good products, but you are just not getting there and you need that extra push, it is so helpful to make use of devices.
It does not have to be from Medicube. Just any devices that are good, efficient, and actually deliver results. For example:
- If you need calming and regeneration, use red LED therapy masks.
- If you feel like your skincare is dwelling on top and you need that extra push to make it settle better, use the booster shot.
- If you need something calming to help with redness, use LDM devices.
Do your research, figure out what your skin needs the most, and use it every single day. If you are going to invest and commit to a device, you cannot afford to be lazy. Just once or twice a week is enough. Fit it into your skincare routine and make a habit of using it.
3. Change Your Routine as You Age
Tip number three: as you age, your skincare routine should look different. It should not stay the same.
Your skincare game in your teens, 20s, and 30s should look vastly different. Because as we age, our skin loses its natural lipids, the fats, the oils, and it becomes drier and drier, leading to more wrinkles, more dryness, more sensitivity.
In your teens, it is great to stick to light, refreshing, or hydrating products with a lot of cica, BHA, and oil-controlling ingredients. But in your 30s, you want to add in more lipid content, more fat content into your skincare routine.
The refreshing hydrating toners that worked great in your teens and 20s are still good if you have the right skin type, but they are never going to fix that tightness and dryness that you feel as you age.
Here enters lipids. Thick, luscious, buttery textures that help the hydration stay put in your skin without evaporating. There are a lot of great products out there for you to test out. After incorporating these, you will see a huge difference in how your skin feels throughout the day.
Make sure to revise your skincare routine and change it accordingly. Add lipids if necessary.
4. Barrier Over Everything
Rule number four: barrier over everything. Your skin barrier’s health should be the utmost priority you focus on. Nothing else matters more than your skin barrier.
All of the tips I have mentioned emphasize the importance of protecting your skin barrier. Going back to rule number one: stop bloody touching your skin as much. Use bubble products. Use milk cleansers. Stop looking in the mirror. Just protect it at all costs.
Without a healthy skin barrier, there is no point in anything else because you will not be able to achieve glass skin. Think of it as trying to build a nice sturdy house on top of crumbling sand. You will not get anywhere.
Luckily, there are amazing products out there. You do not even need to use all of them. Just a specific couple of effective ones. For me, I absolutely love using the Crave Beauty Real Barrier Relief, Aestura 365 Atbarrier Cream, and Dr. Rjual Advanced LC My Berry Cream. These products are great for moisturizing and helping to recover and repair your skin barrier.
Milk cleansers, gel cleansers, and jelly cleansers are also really soft and gentle and help protect the skin barrier.
How do you know your skin barrier has been compromised? If your skin is looking red, it is irritated, it hurts, you feel that tightness, and it is easily irritated, then probably you have a compromised skin barrier.
In this modern day and age with so much skincare ads and trends going on, nine out of ten people have a compromised skin barrier. So make sure to get your priorities in order. For me, number one is skin barrier health.
5. Be Strategic About Skin Treatments
Last but definitely not least, number five: be strategic about skin treatments.
As you guys know, I have really delved into the world of getting skin procedure treatments for the past two to three years. What I have noticed is that yes, they obviously help boost your skincare game, but they are not everything. You cannot absolutely live at skin clinics.
There is a place and time for skin treatments and there is a place and time for skincare — the daily routine and maintenance.
Be smart about this and pick when is the time to get skin treatments versus when you can solve it easily with skincare. For example, I personally believe now that I am in my early 30s, skin texture is up to a certain point very much achievable just with skincare. But when it comes to drooping jowls or double chin, you absolutely need the help of skin treatments.
No skincare or cosmetic products can get rid of jowls or double chin. You have to go to clinics for that, especially as you age.
Step back from the trends and look in the mirror. Ask yourself: what is it that I want to achieve? What is it that I want to see improvement in? Get those facts down and then start from there. You do not start from trends. You start from what you need.
It is all about knowing when to let professional technology take over versus doing your home care, which is just as important.
2026 is all about being an informed consumer. It is about being smart, doing your research, and being diligent. We are saying goodbye to laziness.
Protect your skin barrier, use home devices, and make sure to make the right calls on when is the time to actually go see a doctor at skin clinics. Going to skin clinics is not essential, but if you want to see results in specific areas, it will actually help you achieve that as opposed to wasting so much money on skincare products that will never get you where you want.
