I don’t usually watch reality shows, but I started watching season 5 just because I wanted to film a fun. Then I found myself getting really committed to the show and now I am hooked. I really want to know who ends up with who.
Your girl did the research. I went all Sherlock Holmes mode and scrutinized every single scene second by second. I was able to see what products these girls are using. So without further ado, let’s get this video started right away.
Let’s first start out by taking a look at what products Miji is using.
She is actually using the Peripera Ink Glowy Mood lip tints. They changed the packaging in the show. She uses the products in the old packaging but they just recently updated it so it looks a little different. I do have the special edition so it has this really cute character on it.
I love Peripera. You can’t go wrong with it. The price, the quality, the colors — spot on. I will say though, the shade range is a bit more catered to teens and 20s, so they’re a bit more bubbly, young, and fresh. Now that I’m in my 30s, I do like more toned down, muted tones. But nonetheless, they are still really good.
This line is a tint but it’s very hydrating. It doesn’t dry out your lips which is one of the things I used to hate about lip tints. It blends out really nicely and after some time it actually will stain your lips. So it does have lasting power. I love these because they have really good quality as well as really good pricing.
I picked up number 7, number 9, and 3 just because I felt like the colors that the girls were using on the show were very pink. This is the color that is the closest to what they were using. It is a pink, very bubbly, but it doesn’t translate to something as Barbie pink on your lips as much as the swatches show. It is actually the lip product I have on right now. Fabulous. I absolutely love it.
She also used the 3CE Style Eye Switch Glitter. This is double note, one of the most popular ones. It is a glitter type of product and you actually get big chunks of glitter. So you can actually use them to highlight and just give a pop of that glint glitter on the eyelids or inner corner however you want to use it.
I wouldn’t say this is the most sparkly with the little thin doe brush. It does limit the amount of glitter you can put on, but I feel like this is something that you could switch up easily by just taking your hands.
Another product we spotted on Miji’s vanity table is the Dashu Easy Cover Hair Cushion. It is basically one of those cushioned hair pangs that you can use to cover up any kind of empty spaces on your hair. This is actually a men’s brand.
When it comes to hair loss or hair items, I feel like the men’s section has it way better because Korean men are obsessed with hair care. Even the fact that Miji was using a brand from the men’s section is a testament to how good their products are.
I started using it. It’s really good. It’s very effective. It really does cover up your hairline. Be careful with the amount that you use because it does transfer a bit. Also, if you do end up using these cushions, make sure to wash it out thoroughly because they can block the hair pores.
Last but not least, another product we spotted on Miji’s vanity is the Tocobo Vita Glaze Lip Mask. This is the over lip balm mask and you just apply it on and it makes your lips super plumped, hydrated, and luscious. I think I like this better than the Laneige one. I feel like overseas the Laneige Lip Glaze one is really popular. For me, I thought the product is okay, but it seemed a bit overhyped and a bit too expensive.
But this one I can definitely get on board with. The packaging is so cute and the formulation is just right. It’s not too thick. It’s not too thin. It just appropriately makes my lips plump to the extent that I like. This is a product that’s also popular within Korea amongst the Korean girlies. So, this is really, really good.
Minasoo’s Products
Moving on to what Minasoo used. Oh my gosh, Minasoo. She’s like the devil’s girl. I feel like I was so shocked as I saw her throughout the show.
We didn’t get to see too many cuts of what Minasoo was using, but there was this one cut of her using the Dior Lip Glow Butter in number 001 Glazed Pink. This is the lip product she was using. It is a very natural lip balm with barely any color to it. So, it has a little bit of that gloss. I love the formulation. It’s very chewy. It’s very concentrated. So, it’s not like a floopy gloss, but it doesn’t feel too thick or too overwhelming on the lips. I don’t like overwhelming glosses. Half the time I’m eating most of it and it’s going into my mouth. So, I like glosses that stick on.
The shape of the doe foot is perfectly curved. So it fits the natural curve of your lips. So it really feels comfortable when you’re applying this on. And this little charm is very cutesy as well.
Hye-sun’s Products
Hye-sun is also my bias. She’s my favorite. Even from the first episode when they were all walking in, she was one of my picks. I really like her character. She’s calm, focused, she doesn’t rush things.
I wish we also saw more clips of her using products so we could just copy her. But I did spot these two products.
First, she uses the Wakemake Pink Eye Palette. Even though I love Hye-sun, you guys know how I feel about these palettes. I feel like these are so overrated. I gave them my fair share of try. Not only did I try this one, but also this one and their lavender one. I bought them all with my own money and I tried it really hard because I wanted to be fair.
I got to say, guys, these are very, very popular in Korea. They’re often ranked number one at Olive Young. I see a lot of Korean girls actually use them too. So I know they’re very popular, but it’s just not for me. For example, it has so many fallouts. The delivery on my eyelids is so splotchy. It gets everywhere and it doesn’t spread out nicely. The payoff is very subtle. And even though I’m getting 16 colors, I feel like some of these are really redundant.
I would rather just use my good old Holika Holika palette.
Koen’s Products
Koen is also one of the girls. I feel like I say this to everyone. Dang, she is super hot. And honestly, I thought she would be kind of like the star of the show.
She was using this Coy Pad and the Berry Cushion in Ivory. This cushion is really good. I’ve been using this ever since they upgraded it. It’s so easy to use. It has decent amount of coverage and I wouldn’t say it has the most elegant or the thinnest formulation, which is great if you’re someone who has a bit of texture problems and you want to kind of cover that up.
This cushion I feel like is perfect for the summer times, especially if you have dry skin because even though it’s not matte, it still has a really really good fixing power. So, it will last throughout the day, but it also kind of gives you that nice glow.
I was really surprised to see the cushion on the show, though, because this is definitely not a cushion that’s considered popular. I have mine in shade Ivory. They don’t offer too many shades, so I feel like they offer maybe two or three shades.
